Hi you all:)
I have a question that I hope you ALL answer. Heehee:)
Why is it so hard to understand and experience God's love (when He gives His love so freely and wants us to be able to receive it) OR do you think that it is not hard?
Eager to read your responses,
Anita<3

uhm...really, to get to know Him, you've got to settle down your heart and WANT to know Him and love Him and be faithful.
hopefully.
because sumtimes we dont realize that he's giving it to us?... and like love isn't always "goodygoody nice nice" its also like disciplining and yeah so.. sumtimes we dont want to like accept change yahhh
i think sometimes we don't understand God's love because we compare it to human love. we find fault in human love and attribute that same love to the love Christ gave to us, not comprehending that God's love is different. God's love is unconditional, unfathomable, limitless. it stretches from East to West.
Satan suppressed God's love through our circumstances. through the tough times, it's harder to know that God is faithful and He's always by our side. but remember this: God's character doesn't change based on the circumstances we're going through. God is still God. God is still love.
this week i've been struggling with having a passion for God. i feel overjoyed about the Gospel and am renewed to love God with as much love as i can muster, to sanctify every part of my life so that i may fully glorify Him, but i feel like something is holding me back. please pray for me, sister. please pray that i will remember the works and miracles and blessings God has placed in my life and that He does everything for a reason, not to harm me but to prosper me.
pray for me that i will trust in Him even when i don't understand, even when my sinful nature blocks out the truth. pray for me that i will know what it means to walk in the desert, without God, so that i may lean even more heavily on my Lord and Father because He is the only one who can save me from death.
in Christ alone,
andrea
Andrea,
When Jesus is led into the desert by the Spirit(Matt 4, Luke 4) the bible doesn't tell us that the Spirit leaves him.
When we are in the desert, God doesn't leave us.
Praying for you,
